JEROME — Harold Gale Lewis, 74, of Jerome passed away surrounded by family, Friday, March 31, 2017 due to heart failure.She was born October 6, 1951 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Richard Morrison and Delores Frey. As a family they lived in Long Beach, California, Springfield, Oregon, & then settled in the Twin Falls-Buhl area.She was the second of five children and spent most of her childhood in southern Idaho. Sandra owned her own business for many years, and shared some of her many artistic talents through teaching. She was preceded in death by her Grandfather & Grandmother Clurie & Lillian Baggett, & father Richard Morrison.Martin worked at Van Gas (later Suburban Propane) for 12 years as a serviceman, 20 years as a manager, and four years as a regional manager, retiring in 1993.His favorite pastime in his younger years was fly fishing with family and friends, with a dog at his side.A combined funeral for Glen and his daughter, Myrna Rasmussen Slama, who died on March 28, 2017, will be held at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, April 5, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E.
He also hunted deer and elk with his dad, brothers and sons.
He is survived by 3 children: Mike (Kathy) Chapin of Cascade, Idaho; Kelly (Audrey) Chapin of Soda Springs, Idaho; and Karen (Curt) Doggett of Pocatello, Idaho; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
He was born in Wendell, Idaho to Elmer and Dora (Cooley) Lewis.
He was the third child of ten and attended school in several states. He was a truck driver for mart produce, hauled corn to the Burley plant, and even owned two trucks of his own.
While he lived at Bridgeview Estates, he spent a lot of time entertaining (and teasing) the other residents and always had his harmonica in his pocket so he could play at a moment’s notice.
